I have a CRS328-24P-4S+ with three grandstream APs. The two GWN7665 operate as expected but the GWN7630LR somehow works even though the port shows inactive in winbox. The lights on the front of the switch show it is getting POE power but the activity light does not light up. The 7630LR does mostly work as expected but if i change the PVID on the grandstream to my management VLAN it is no longer reachable until I factory reset it. The switch is running 7.24.4 firmware but it has done this on previous firmware as well.
Any ideas?
Start low, and try a different cable, and then port.
what do you mean by start low? i have already tried a different cable as well as different ports. nothing changes
I would check again whole setup against:
What happens when you change the port the problematic device is connected to? Does it make the new port blinking or not?
What if you replace working device with problematic one? Do "working port"+"working cable" blink or not?
What if you connect working device to the problematic port? Does it blink or not?
Which port - 1Gb or 2.5Gb - do you use in GWN7665? Have you checked if it is 1Gb as CRS328 may not properly report connectivity state for external 2.5Gb port connected to 1Gb even if communication works.
Please provide config, at least "interfaces" part.
"Start low": Simple solutions first, and not jumping immediately into the most complex (unlikely) candidates.
(A recent user had a similar problem recently, and a cable fixed it, so just making sure since that was never stated.)
