To be able, within the firewall, to create “Address lists” are great but I would like to do the same with services and then be able to reference these groups when creating rules. Any chance that I have overlooked this because I am missing that feature …

Nope the best you can hope for is on any given rule portX,portY,portAA etc…
If you are lucky its in contiguous ranges dst-port=1556-1695
