Possible to redistribute default route with bgp?

I notice my RB is redistributing routes through BGP but when it receives the default route 0.0.0.0/0 it does not redistribute.

This poster says it is not possible.

Can anyone confirm if this is still the case and whether it is intended to be the case forever?
Any workarounds?

For now as workaround, I am using the “default-originate if installed”. But that does not have exactly the behavior I would prefer.
