Power consumption of a 433AH with 2x XR5 cards

only FYI, the 433AH with a pair of XR5 needs:

4,5W when no traffic and Cards disabled
Each card is +1W when enabled

We reached 7,5W while doing 2 scans with the XR5 and a TCP bandwidth test to 127.0.0.1.



I need to find the max watts that needs this board/cards. Which is the correct test?

enable both cards, connect to a wireless AP, lock them to the 6Mbps data-rate and use UDP transmit test, then it will use the highest transmit power of the wireless card. To make sure add approx 1W to be sure.
Also check the cards datasheet there should be written the max power consumption.
