Power Cycle RB411 to time schedule

Hi, I have just bought my first Routerboard. I would like to use it in a solar powered data gathering environment where data is uploaded only once or twice a day. I have a battery controller device that will supply 13.2 vdc to the routerboard based on a time schedule. On - Off. My concern is that power cycling the RB411 does not allow the OS to close down properly and I have noticed an error message in the Log File because the board did not shut down properly.

Is there a way to remotely power cycle a router board without causing errors ? I can send rs232 serial data to the board if I can close it down by command?

It would be good to turn it on for an hour per day or maybe an hour twice per day.

Hi, You could use

/system shutdown

command before you power it off.
