Power for mAP lite (RBmAPL-2nD) from RB951Ui-2HnD

Hi All,

I tried to solve the problem without write message to the forum, but no luck.

I have three Mikrotik devices now.
RB951Ui-2HnD router, RBmAPL-2nD (mAP lite) and 260GS switch.
mAP lite I bought a few days ago and that made me unhappy.
I need extend my WiFi network to another building.
I laid UTP cable (no longer than 30 meters) and check this cable by my router. Just build test network. All works perfect.
I moved switch to new building, connected new cable to port #5 of router and port #1 of switch all worked good.
Switch received power from the router and the network worked perfectly.

After that I bought mAP lite and try to turn on this device with power over ethernet - the device does not turn on.
I connected it via USB power supply and it works perfectly.
I took an access point, and brought it to a router and try a shorter cable. It is also not successful.

I tried to use two power supply for the router 12V and 24V. No changes.
I checked specification for router and access point on the Mikrotik site and looks like all should works.

Any ideas?

Hi All,

The problem was solved with the help Mikrotik Support Team via email.
When I change Router port #5 POE mode to forced-on
/interface ethernet set poe-out=forced-on

The AP received power via Etnernet cable and working as expected now.
