Thankfully I have config file backed up, but being new to mikrotik I’m trying to learn how to best setup still. I have two cap ac’s and the RB5009 router. When I have to move it or if it gets powered off in any way. The router loses all its settings and I have to restore it from a backup. The cap ac’s appear to retain their settings. Is there a setting or something I’m missing to finalize my settings so that if it gets powered off, it will return to the former state?
If the device that is losing settings is running RouterOS 7.*, update to the latest version from the development branch. It has fixed my issue where config were completely wiped out during each restart.
If you are RouterOS 6.*, please contact Mikrotik Support regarding this issue.
The RB5009 requires version 7, so you may be onto something…
