Hi friends.
We have an area which is affected by rodents who bite off the cable.
Adapters and POE’s short and many cards LAN ports damaged because the cable shorts when these creatures bite off the cable.
Want to know if 750UP can be used and the port shuts itself if any short occurs.
Please advise. And also, how is 750UP compared to a TOUGHSWITCH.

I would use on each POE port Radial Leaded PPTC Resettable Fuse, this way one shorted port will not pull other POE ports down.
what make/model/spec are u using.
and what cable length does rb750UP support
I had a RB750UP mounted in an enclosure on top of the TOWER to keep cables length less.
I used power adapter of the 750UP to power it up with a POE using ether1 as power input.
But the power out from rest of the ports is very erratic.I tried firmware updates but that does not help either.
Tried forced on but that was OK for just 1-2 devices (mostly SXT GHnD)
My current supply does not have any problems.
