Good Day,

I am looking to purchase a RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN but have a question regarding the POE support. I would like to power a UBNT NanoStation M5 and (via secondary port and POE pass through) a UBNT Rocket Omni from the RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN POE Port. Is that possible? I work in Tech Support for a WISP in Kent, UK and would like to buy a RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN to play with and learn Router OS more. It would be amazing if I could save using a UBNT POE and put the NanoStation and Rocket Omni I host for work from the MikroTik.

Thank you for your time.

You will need to use an external poe adapter

A slightly different product will do what you request. You want the RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN. Note the added “i”.

You should be able to power the ubiquiti device from ether10 on that device. I haven’t checked for availability on those.

He Will two devices connecten with poe that can’t

I guess it would depend on the total current draw of the UBNT devices and whether or not that draw is permissible through PoE out port. I had missed that ChrisHumphreys was trying to power two UBNT devices. I read too quickly.

It looks like the 2011UiAS-2HnD-IN probably only has 500mA out on port 10.

The best bet is most likely to keep using the UBNT PoE.

If he just wants to cut down on power adapters, http://routerboard.com/RB750UP may be an option. He can probably power both UBNT devices and a 2011 from the 750UP.

Yes indeed that is a option

Why you want to run this way, it is a U turn in my eyes.

And now once more again, why you want to power the UBNT WLAN APs by the RB2011?

as was said above, the RB2011i (with the “i”) can power on devices with passive poe
