Powerbox pro connected to NVR static IP no internet/ second bridge for internet connection?

Hi,

in order to make the IP cameras work off of my PowerBox pro I had to set the static IP address to the bridge of the same range as the internal range of the NVR as the NVR is not giving oput IPs in DHCP mode in any way!

i wanted to create a second bridge with ports 4 & 5 and connect this second bridge as DHCP client to the ISP router for management & a way out towards internet for firmware upgrades etc

what do you think?

Do the cameras move?
Does the NVR move?
Does the Power box Pro move?
If not, they are static.
As such using static addresses on them Is appropriate.
DHCP and more generally Dynamic ip address is appropriate for mobiles and laptops, not only wifi.
Once upon a time when desktops (or workstations), servers and printers were the only networked devices it was rather common in offices to assign static addresses to the devices, and to list the IP’s according to the various rooms sockets.
Nowadays DHCP Is ubiquitous because portable devices are ubiquitous, but for whatever doesn’t move and is wired static addressing is (IMHO) simpler, easier to mantain and makes those devices easier to identify when needed (for troubleshooting or to control traffic/access es/whatever).
You don’t really need a second bridge, only one port Is needed to connect to the ISP router/internet and the management port is actually better if belonging to a different, even better if a narrow /30, network, and the occasional connection to internet can be routed (yes, double NAT, not that much of an issue).
