Powerbox Pro with 3 PoE devices

Hi everybody!
I have 1 RBLHG-5nD and 1 RBSXT5nDr2 that I want to connect to a Powerbox Pro.
Will I be able to connect a 802.3af/at PoE device (for example a TpLink eap615-wall)?
If yes, is the included power supply enough to power all 3 the devices?
Thanks!

As all other Mikrotik products, Powerbox Pro can only be 802.3 af/at if it’s powered with 48V power adapter because it doesn’t do voltage step-up or step-down. Which the supplied one isn’t (it’s 24V). In your case that would be a problem since both RBLHG-5nD and RBSXT5nDr2 can only take up to 30V (or 32V) supply voltage.

So you’d have to choose between powering MT devices and other devices, it can’t be both at the same time.

Oh, damned!
is there any other product (outdoor) that can help achieve what I need?
Thanks!

I don’t think there’s a Mikrotik device that satisfies all of your requirements.

If you want to supply voltage to devices that accept Passive POE and also supply some other with af/at then there is a solution…
Using a device that has selectable POE out Voltage… netPower 16P is an example https://mikrotik.com/product/netpower_16p#fndtn-gallery
Since the device has no onboard voltage converter, you will need to have both 24V and 48V PSUs connected…
POE voltage can be set to Low or High https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/PoE-Out

Right. I forgot about this device … there’s at least one other PoE switch that can work with two voltages, but it’s not outdoor: CRS354-48P-4S-2Q.

As @Zacharias already mentioned - currently, for outdoor use, netPower 16P is your only option to use low and high voltage at the same time.

For indoor you could use one of these:
https://mikrotik.com/product/crs112_8p_4s_in (also needs 2 PSU, same as netPower 16P)
https://mikrotik.com/product/crs328_24p_4s_rm
https://mikrotik.com/product/crs354_48p_4s_2q_rm

Thanks for your suggestion, but I don’t have a power connection where I will place this device.
The only solution would be to have a passive PoE to 802.3af converter…I’ll look around.

Is the power supply provided with the Powerbox Pro enough to power itself, the RBLHG-5nD and the RBSXT5nDr2?

I’m powering LtAP with 2 LTE interfaces + BaseBox 2 + BaseBox 5 + Bullet AC.

All perfect.

Regards.

So Netpower 16p can power passive poe devices as well as 802.3af ones ?
Thanks

Yes.

Sorry for the late response, but I haven’t received any notification for this post since my last reply.
By the way, thanks for your feedback!
