Hi. I have a problem powering my SXT series routerboard. Everything is connected properly, there are 24 volts, but nothing seems to work, even power led is not working.
Could it be, that something got shortconnected while making ends (RJ45) of internet cable and for example data lines got 24 volts for a smal moment and something on circuitbord did not like it? Maybee someone have some recommendations where the problem could be?
I’m not sure I can help you.
But I had a similar problem:
- same Mikrotik model,
- everything apparently connected properly,
- 24V adapter working correctly (24V output measured by a multimeter),
- but everything appearing switched off, not working, led off.
I changed the ethernet cable, and everything worked.
The former ethernet cable was a 4 wires one,
the second a 8 wires one: look at the plug,
you’ll easily see if there are 4 or 8 wires.
Have you inspecting the network cable?
Is the ‘business end’ of the poe injector plugged in? The sxt may not show any lights until it is receiving data. Maybe try using a switch with poe. I’ve had a psu go bad.
Thanks for advices. Changed ethernet cable and everything now runs great ![]()
