Ppp-client firmware-upgrade

Hello,

During one of our projects, we decided to test KNOT. After attempting to configure it for some time, I noticed an unstable connection. Consequently, I decided to update all components. The Routerboard was updated without any problems, but the modem was not.

The command ‘/interface/ppp-client/ firmware-upgrade ppp-out1’ successfully found new firmware, but when I tried ‘/interface/ppp-client/ firmware-upgrade ppp-out1 upgrade=yes’, it got stuck after displaying ‘status: Download done!’.

So, my question is: how can we upgrade the firmware of the KNOT modem?

board-name: KNOT
model: RB924i-2nD-BT5&BG77
revision: r2
firmware-type: qca9531
factory-firmware: 7.11.3
current-firmware: 7.14.2
upgrade-firmware: 7.14.2

I have the same issue.
In Mikrotik manual the section regarding Knot is very poor and incomplete…

I updated the firware to 7.15.1 and now it works!

Is sim card required to update firmware?

I have updated the firmware from 7.16.0 to 7.16.1 and it works.

I can't update the modem, I get an error. How should I upgrade the modem?
