Hi,
I have Hotspot and PPPOE server with User Manager configured on a Routerboard 2011.
When users login, they are added to the simple queue with their respective account speed.
On the side, I also have a file server to share content with user that runs on the same IP range as the Hotspot and PPPOE server.
Note: the File Server has a static IP and is bypassed with IP Bindings.
Details:
Incoming DHCP Client: 192.168.2.5
Mikrotik Router: 192.168.50.1
File Server: 192.168.50.25
IP Pool: 192.168.50.10 - 192.168.50.254
When users login via Hotspot, it works great. Downloads from the file server doesn’t get accounted and also not shaped via their normal queue speed limit.
Unfortunately as soon as users dial in via PPPOE, they get limited. I also discovered that they are not able to ping the Router, whereas Hotspot users can.
It is almost as if the PPPOE user are ‘isolated’ from the network.
What I want to achieve:
Have both PPPOE users download from the File Server without using their normal queue speed limit and also to have no traffic accounted (basically bypassing simple queue)
PPPOE users must also be able to see the Router in order to check their usage on User Manager.
How do I go about doing this? Is there a Mangle rule or something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Kind Regards
