PPPoE Authentication and per-user accounting :/

Hey Guys,

I have a stupid question but here it goes. A client of mine wants to use RouterOS for a BRAS. Now I am aware that RouterOS supports PPP authentication and the rest of it.. but there’s more.

They want to use the MikroTik box to limit user’s bandwidth (i.e max throughput of 256Kbps for user-1) then once user-1 has reached x amount of content downloaded within a month, slow them down to 56Kbps.

Without investing in an arbour box, or a cisco 7600, will RouterOS support this? If so, how’s it done?

You can use also “user manager”
