pppoe client does not send PADR frame

Hi Gents,

I have just bought an RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN.

I am trying to set it up as a pppoe-client.

I have configured it as it is visible on Mikrotik’s wiki but it doesn’t work.

[thegod@LocalGW] /ip firewall nat> /interface pppoe-client print
Flags: X - disabled, R - running
 0    name="pppoe-out1" max-mtu=1480 max-mru=1480 mrru=disabled
      interface=ether1-gateway user="USERNAME" password="PASSWORD"
      profile=default service-name="" ac-name="adsl" add-default-route=yes
      dial-on-demand=no use-peer-dns=yes allow=pap
[thegod@LocalGW] /ip firewall nat>

It seems RB2011 doesn’t answer with PADR frame to the PADO from ISP’s AS. :frowning:

There is nothing useful in the log. :frowning:

I configured a mirror port on the equipment and sniffed the traffic on ether3 by tcpdump but no PADR frame was visible.

I tried to put a hub between the RB2011 and the ISP’s DSL Modem and sniff the traffic on that way but the result was the same.

Has anyone met with similar problem?

Best Regards,
/Gusti

What is the DSL modem? Is it one of those small Motorola DSL modems? If so, they don’t work in bridge mode. Other DSL modems work fine.
