PPPoE Client on same routers as server?

Hey all,

I have some backhaul routers that some clients connect direct via ethernet port, I want these users to be using a PPPoE connection for internet troble is when i try and add the client it wont connect to the PPPoE server runnning on the same router, Setup is like this


Omni Is Bridged into PPPoE bridge

PPPoE server is setup on interface PPPoE

Client is setup is to dial out on interface PPPoE.

It dosnt connect at all, i’ve got to add a EOIP tunnel to another routers with a PPPoE server in order for it to connect

Any ideas guys?

Just a guess, but you haven’t perhaps forgot to add a PPPoE Server to the Interface that the clients connect at?

If the clients connect to ether1 then the PPPoE Server must listen on ether1 as well as any others that you may require.

I havnt tried adding another PPPoE server on the ether1 interface directly but i did add it to the PPPoE bridge
