Hi guys, i had this weird issue. I asked my isp to change my modem to bridge mode and it was successful and i also configured it in my Mikrotik correctly and internet is reachable. but after this event and configuration. my pppoe clients now cant access some sites and videos from streaming sites are not playing. my dns is fine, i use 1.1.1.1 and when i test it on LAN (not pppoe client) there is no problem at all. now a change the isp modem back to router mode and the is issue is gone. what do you think the problem there? thanks
If your firewall is still largely based on default, then you have to add pppoe-out1 interface (or whatever it’s called in your particular setup) to WAN interface list.
Hmmm … the wording used in your post makes me wonder if I understand your use case correctly. So if in doubt, post configuration of your router (execute /export hide-sensitive file=anynameyouwish, redact any remaining sensitive data - such as device’s serial number and public IP addresses -, and copy-paste it to [__code] [/code] formatting block).
