PPPoE "could not determine remote IP address"

Hi,

I have configured several MT Boxes, but one of the setups is giving me trouble. I configured a pppoe-client interface and connected the ADSL modem to the ethernet card. The interface does not get established and the log shows:

apr/27/2005 14:21:09 WirelessUOL: authenticated
apr/27/2005 14:21:10 WirelessUOL: terminating… - could not determine remote IP address
apr/27/2005 14:21:10 WirelessUOL: disconnected
apr/27/2005 14:21:13 WirelessUOL: initializing…
apr/27/2005 14:21:13 WirelessUOL: dialing…
apr/27/2005 14:21:13 WirelessUOL: authenticated
apr/27/2005 14:21:13 WirelessUOL: terminating… - could not determine remote IP address
apr/27/2005 14:21:13 WirelessUOL: disconnected

The settings for the interface are:

0 name=“WirelessUOL” mtu=1400 mru=1400 interface=eth-wireless user=“userXXX@domain” password=“XXXX” profile=default service-name=“Acceso” ac-name=“” add-default-route=no dial-on-demand=no use-peer-dns=no allow=mschap2,mschap1,chap,pap

I tested the ISP access with a Linksys broadband router and connects fine, so I think the problem belongs to me and my MT.

Has anyone ran before with this problem ?

Have a look at this thread.

Nope, the same thing…

I read the thread and sounds similar.

I am using MT version 2.8.23. In the past i’ve used users with @domain and they work fine. As the guy posting the problem in the other thread the @domain is used here in Argentina to route authentication to the ISP.

I talked with the technician that did the physical deplyment and is not really an ADSL, but a Broadband Wireless that uses PPPoE. It should be the same thing, whatsoever…

Does someone run in this ?
