PPPOE Disconnect Issue

Hi Guys,

I’ve done a bit of searching and it doesnt seem anyone else has had this problem, so i need to ask.

We have about 5 clients that connect off various sites, in a fairly high wind area. Typically their signals will be fine -70/-70 a side, but sometimes under high wind this will bounce around and cause brief disconnects (of under a second). When this happens, the PPPOE on the client side disconnects, and then tries to reconnect, but the session on our PPPOE server does not recognise a disconnect, and we end up with two entires, causing neither to work.

E.g. when we look in winbox under pppoe, we have user@isp and then user@isp-1

Removing the user@isp-1 entry causes everything to come back to normal. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Set ‘one session per host’ to ‘yes’?

It will kill the already-active PPPoE session before establishing the new one.
