I’m testing PPPoE dialups from Windows. If the dialup connection is idle for a certain period of time, the interface dissapears under RouterOS, PPP/Interfaces? Thus, RouterOS disconnects the interface. On Windows, the connection still shows active but with no activity?
I’ve played around with the ‘Keepalive Timeout’ setting. I’ve changed it to 60s and the symptom got better, but did not go away. If I set it to 0, the problem goes away, but I’m worried that the connection may for some or other reason not disconnect properly on the RouterOS side and cause a client not to be able to log in after that.
Would appreciate any advice.
