pppoe dropping - reconnection problem

I have several PPPoE connected via LAN. No wireless at all. About 1-2 x per week I get a call from one of them that their service is down. I look at the interface list and always see pppoe-0 connected along with all the normal connections like pppoe-customername. I kick the pppoe-0 and it reconnects correctly as pppoe-customername2.

This is in the log at about the time they arrive at work.

08:35:49 pppoe,info PPPoE connection established from 00:16:B6:ED:2B:EE
08:35:49 pppoe, info PPPoE connection from 00:16:B6:ED:2B:EE was already active - closing previous one
08:35:49 pppoe,ppp,info <pppoe-0>: terminating... - disconnected
08:35:49 pppoe,ppp,info <pppoe-0>: disconnected

and here is the log of me resetting the connection.

09:15:36 pppoe,ppp,info <pppoe-0>: terminating... - administrator request
09:15:36 pppoe,ppp,info <pppoe-0>: disabled
09:15:36 pppoe,info PPPoE connection established from 00:16:B6:ED:2B:EE
09:15:36 pppoe,ppp,info <pppoe-0>: waiting for call...
09:15:36 pppoe,ppp,info <pppoe-0>: authenticated
09:15:37 pppoe,ppp,info <pppoe-0>: connected
09:15:37 pppoe,ppp,info,account customername2 logged in, 63.xx.125.xx

The most common client is Linksys BSSF8r but the same thing happens on a couple MT clients.

Does anybody have any ideas as to the cause of this behavior?

what are you using to manager users account?
by Users Manager or by adding users manually in the PPP secrets list?
because it seems something related to authentication policy where there MT can not establish new PPPOE for the same user name till the previous session closed, or some one else using your client account.

Regards.

All the pppoe accounts are manual secrets. I do have some hotspot accounts on the same box that connect to a mt user manager.

could this have anything to do with mtu?

I has similar problems before, pppoe client will even get disconnected randomly.
I changed the ether card and all is well,
mtu=1480 on pppoe-server.
You may set ether speed to 10Mbps also.

Try this Setup

#
/ interface pppoe-server server
add service-name="" interface=eth1-Clients max-mtu=1480 max-mru=1480 authentication=mschap1,mschap2 keepalive-timeout=15 one-session-per-host=yes \
    max-sessions=0 default-profile=default disabled=no

keepalive-timeout what is your Value ?
I think You have not Set keepalive-timeout Value

uncheck one session per host

In forums, everyone asks to keep MTU as 1480 and MRU as 1600 and keep one session per host unchecked.

But in my case, its MTU 1492 and MRU is 1492 and MRU blank and keep one session checked too.

Does that affect ?
