Good Day,
We have user-manager setup for authenticating our PPPOE connections, and two of our clients can connect but after 5min or less the client remains connected but can not download, browse or do anything.
Logs show no errors, and on the Mikrotik router running version 2.9.46 (recently updated to see if the problem would go away)
Has anyone had similar problems, and what could be the cause.
OUR SETUP
ADSL LINE 1 ADSL LINE 2
LOAD BALANCER
MIKROTIK1 MIKROTIK2
CLIENTS CLIENTS —>SOME HAVE PROBLEM
ADSL LINE1 = IP dynamically assigned by PPPOE from ISP
ADSL LINE2 = IP Statically assigned but not public IP (Using NAT)
LOAD BALANCER = IP 192.168.x.x
MIKROTIK1 = IP 192.168.x.x
MIKROTIK2 = IP 192.168.x.x
Both PPPOE clients are set to different pools 192.168.239.5-250 and 192.168.30.5-250
What could cause the PPPOE connection not to respond to clients, or is it client machines fault (there are only two clients that have this problem)
If client is setup using Wlan interface on the correct IP range, with correct Gateway address and DNS addresses there is no problem accessing internet…but then we have no idea on usage, and account facility on usermanager.
I don’t understand this, if one method works surley the other should too???
