PPPoE Issue (2.9.35)

I have a PPPoE server with about 700 simultaneous connections working fine on a MT 2.9.29…

From time to time, I get some users that get stuck as connected and I can’t remove them unless I reboot the whole server… I saw a fix to this issue on the version 2.9.35 so I updated…

As soon MT restarts, users can’t authenticate with my RADIUS server. Running a tcpdump on the RADIUS server, it seems that MT sends a few auth-requests and then just stops sending them… While in MT, the tunnel interfaces are ALL in a “authenticating…” state… Only 10 people got connected and all the others got stuck in that auth state…

I had to downgrade again to 2.9.29…

Any thougths?

I had the same trouble with 2.9.35. I downgraded the 2.9.34 and my trouble went gone.
Send the supout file the support.

Are these wireless customers connecting or DSL?

I am just wondering because I was thinking about using MT for our DSL auth.

Wireless

You need to use v2.9.24 to get the most stable pppoe termination, regardless whether it is copper, fiber or wireless.
v2.9.26 and older has (severe) issues with pppoe “ghosts”.
Don’t know about v2.9.35 (with the updated ppp package) but i’ll let you know.

Same issues here (ROS 2.9.35), users disconects every minute… Sent .rif file to MT.-
