pppoe Most strange senario

I have two routers ip 10.3.0.4 & 10.3.5.1

Router 2 is connecting to router 1 via the sector

Router one has an ppoe on the sector and all ppoe ips are from 10.3.2.2-32 and the gateway is 10.3.2.1

Router 2 has and ptp ip 10.3.51/32 to 10.3.2.1

What is very strange is that some of the ppoes from router 1 connects to the second router with the ip range of router 1 (and works). These ppoe should be connected on the first (10.3.0.4) and not on the second.

When I kill them they disconnect from router 2 and reconnect to router 1.

After a couple of hours they reconnect to the second router.

This is very strange

Did anybody else experienced it?

Could you perhaps draw us a network diagram?

From what you’ve said in your post it seems to me like you have 2 routers (each with their own PPPoE server) listening on the same sector?

sorry.

I believe it is a software bug on the ppoe of the mikrotik.

It appears that you can not connect remote routers with ppoe and local ppoes of the “master” router via the same sector. THe masdter router seems to pass ppoe to the remote router.
