PPPoE not forcing laptop to authenticate

Hi,

I am testing PPPoE for a future WISP project.

I got all working as per WIKI and manage to connect CPE’s without any problem.

I did another test connecting a laptop directly to the ethernet where PPPoE is enabled and found out the laptop can pass traffic without any authentication. Is this normal?

My concern on this is for users that will be bridge over the WISP.

Remove ADDRESS from the physical network port!!! You don’t want an address on the physical port that the PPPoE uses!!!
