pppoe not working?

Hey Guys,

Some help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve got a RB2011 on RouterOS version 5.23,

BIGGER PICTURE…
I am trying to set it up to load balance between my Cable (DHCP) and my ADSL2 (PPPoE) connection. I’ve been searching online and have been reading up on the forums and I think I have a config that works for the dual WAN links and load balancing. I have no issue getting it to work via my cable connection (DHCP).

ISSUE
I’m having issue getting my PPPoE working, even when resetting back to default and using the QuickConfig setup it still does not work. The line and passwords are all fine as it’s working on both my netgear and fortinet routers but for the life of me I can’t get it to work on the Mikrotik. Watching the logs, it dials out but never connects.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on what I could look at to get this up and running?

Thanks,

Hey guys,

pppoe work properly if you some rule used in mangle for that bandwith not control
in pppoe .mind that, local address means server ip and remote address means client ip.

Ok so I got PPPoE working but having some serious issues with Load balancing our internet connection…

I am following the guide here - http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/ECMP_load_balancing_with_masquerade - ECMP load balancing

I was able to get traffic to route out of the PPPoE port but was not able to get traffic out of our DHCP connection for some reason.

Any ideas / recommendation on setups etc?
