i ve got quick question
i think about this kind of setup
router (x.x.x.1) ← [mikrotik bridge with pppoe] ← client (x.x.x.2)
in other words :> i want to put between clients and router an transparent pppoe terminator :>
is this possible?
It is possible to set bridge, when PPPoE server will be used on ‘router’ (x.x.x.1), you need to create bridge and add to ports interfaces that go to router and to client.
so then my question would be how does the client get an IP address? Unless you’re bridging a DHCP server on the other end of the PPPoE connection…
