We have a number of RB750 devices in use and today I have been advised by a third party from a data centre that a long term issue that has been had at a customers site accessing a web site behind some F5 load balanced equipment had been resolved, and they confirmed that the Mikrotik RB750 device appeared to not be passing the ‘selective acknowledgement’ to the internal NAT’d workstations.
The device is acting almost in the default configuration, with a PPPOE connection connected provided NAT to a bunch of workstations behind it. We have been able to replicate this fault on every PPPOE Mikrotik connection we have, with multiple ISP’s, but only when accessing the internet via a PPPoE connection.
The data centre people were surprised that the router would not support it, as they had never seen a device that did not support this RFC.
Can anyone confirm 100% that the Mikrotik’s support this feature via PPPOE.
We have tested the latest version of every RouterOS version, either v3, v4 or v5.
