PPPoE Server and Customers Unable to Reach Some Websites

Customers connected via PPPoE are unable to get to some websites after we upgraded from 2.8.28 to 2.9.25. Changing the MTU isn’t fixing the problem. Turning on the transparent proxy fixed some Linksys routers but a customers using Mikrotik as his router is having the same issue.

The transparent proxy seems to be just a hack to the real problem. It sounds like a lot of people are having this issue, did PPPoE break in version 2.9?

The way I got it to work was by setting Change TCP MSS to Yes in all the PPP profiles. Make sure you kill any active PPPoE tunnels after making the change. I have transparent proxy turned off and websites such as msn.com and hotmail.com are working perfectly for clients.
