PPPoE simutaneous user limit reached.

I am running usermanager on my main router (RB1100Hx2) as well as the pppoe server. Everything has been running fine for months. However, over the last two weeks, about twice a day the PPPoE server will drop several connections bring them back up and drop them repeatedly. When I check the usernamanger logs it quickly fills up with “simultaneous user limit reached”. After several minutes of this, it drops ALL PPPoE connections and IP connections, but does not appear to reboot. Then the PPPoE active customers will come up with about 1/2 of the users.

If I manually reboot the router, the problem goes away for about 6 - 12 hours and then starts all over again.

I have approximately 100 users using PPPoE.

Please help me correct this issue.

you have lack of free HDD space. HDD is below 400k your router will stop contacting with UM. Therefor your clients will get wrong user or password message.

You can check your HDD space under system > resources. My guess is it is full with logs from UM.

Sollution: open new terminal and execute /tool user-manager database clear-log
