PPPoE users unknown bandwidth usage

I have 1000 user in my lan as PPPoE but there is one user which is having only 4 mbps bandwidth but
sometimes the upload bandwidth usage is showing me 90mbps but after changing the IP of that user
this issue is resolved but after some days again that same problem is happening .


And also when i am torching that pppoe users interface it’s showing me the traffic in LAN not in wan .


Can you suggest me what can be the reason and what can be the solution of this problem .??

Is your user on public ip ,if yes than most probably it’s some type of attack issue.

Customer is on public but if that attack is coming from WAN side then we should see that same traffic in WAN also but
the traffic is showing in LAN interface only ..

how do you connect your customers to pppoe_server ? what is your customer cpe ? is mikrotik also ?

can you check your dns if allow-remote-requests enabled ?
