because no one answer this topic I supposed that this is not doable for a moment and have decided instead to move adsl IP to router2 (ADSL modem is connected physically to router1 and I want to have pppoe interface and public IP on router2).
what I did :
on router where ADSL is connected (RB493) have bridge and in bridge have physical port where ADSL modem is connected, and eoip interface, on another router (RB433) have put pppoe client connected to another eoip interface. That not working. I tried to look back where is the problem and … forget about second router, let’s talk about first one because test can be made shorter.
On first router have :
-
physical interface where adsl modem is connected
-
eoip interface (connected to another router)
-
bridge (and both interfaces as ports in this bridge).
-
if I connect pppoe interface to physical interface this working, I can scan ADSL and this show AC and can connect
-
if I put bridge instead, same result, can browse, can connect
-
but, if I put eoip interface as interface to pppoe client connection can’t browse and can’t connect.
Is not bridge supposed to forward ANY traffic to all connected ports ?
Is not eoip supposed to forward ANY traffic to remote side ?
twice already I am stacked with same problem, bridge or eoip just didn’t working as this shall be.
