PPPoE, VPN & TrafficMonitor newbie...

I’m a bit new to Mikrotik and is running a router (2.9.4) with 3 LAN cards and 1 MiniPCI AR5213 for AP.

(Maybe this should be 3 different posts)

  1. I want to setup PPPoE for authentication because WEP get cracked by ‘clever’ competition and they use our bandwidth. (Am I right to think this would help and how?)

  2. I need to have users VPN to their workplaces. Must I install Mikrotik at each user and workplace or can VPN work between WiFi clients?

  3. I need to see IP or user traffic for month because different users have different download limits.

I’ve read the entire manual and have an idea, but it is not clear to me. Any suggestions on where I should start/look?

To access the internet each user must accomplish authentication first. Ergo, it will help you.

You should have VPN server installed in the corporate network. Users will use VPN clients included with OS.

  1. I need to see IP or user traffic for month because different users have different download limits.
