Currently I’m able to connect from windows 8 using the built in windows vpn client with L2TP+IPSec w/ preshared key or PPTP to a remote Cisco 2851 without issues. For awhile I was also using a Cisco 1921 at home with no issues. I want to mirror this same functionality on my new RB1100AHx2 although it’s been extremely frustrating to get VPN connectivity to work. Does any one have a working example they can share, with any VPN provider. The link below outlines exactly what I want to do but it does not work for me. Even though I can auth and connect fine, I get an IP, everything I’ve tried so far results in no outbound network connectivity from any of my internal hosts. From the router I can ping the assigned VPN IP but can’t go past that.
