We have 2 RB450G’s. I have them setup using PPTP bridging. (we are bridging because the MRI truck they are moving back and forth needs the same configuration at both locations, and double NAT doesn’t work, already tried it) I have the bridge working.. But if you try to access the web over the bridge, it is excruciatingly slow. I can ping stuff over the internet and that seems fine but bringing up web pages, takes forever.
The primary MT hosts about 3 VPN tunnels as well as the PPTP Bridge. The remote site also needs access over those VPN tunnels.
What I am thinking of doing is blocking DHCP and running a seperate DHCP pool at the remote site to force Internet connections out via that MT and use static routing to send the VPN traffic to the primary MT.
If I setup a static IP on the remote site and use the remote MT for my gateway I get fast internet, set the default GW to the primary MT and my internet basically stops.
Any helpful hints would be appreciated.
Thanks
