PPTP Client Tunnel Issue

I have a 951Ui-2nD and I just updated it from 6.35.4 to 6.36 and it is on the 3.33 firmware. I have my mikrotik setup as a PPTP client with my VPN provider so I can route specific traffic over that connection. I use mangling rules to determine what traffic to send over the VPN connection. This has been working for a few months. I have firewall rules for port 1723 tcp and gre, and I have nat set up along with everything else. The VPN is up and established with my provider. However when I updated to the new version of the router os any time I try and go to a website over the vpn they do not load. I can ping and traceroute but websites do not load. I have also restarted after the update. I have done some testing and I can get it to work under unusual circumstances. The first is that as soon as I start the packet sniffer all of my websites load and everything works as long as I keep it running. So I am unable to actually do a packet capture when websites are failing to load. The second way I can get things to work is to create a forward firewall rule that just accepts everything. Any help would be appreciated. I really don’t want to have to downgrade to make things work again.

I have been playing around with my mikrotik more and I added a inbound and outbound forwarding firewall policy for the PPTP VPN interface to accept all traffic. This is not really an ideal solution but it will work since between my mikrotik and the vpn provider’s server there is a private network. So I disabled the firewall on the VPN tunnel. I have also noticed that when the packet capture is active it slows down my web browsing that is not going over the VPN tunnel. Hopefully someone can shed some insight on what is going on and what needs to be done.

When things start working once you start sniffing, it can often be fixed by disabling fasttrack for that connection.

How would you go about disabling fastrack counters for a particular interface? I know there are fastrack counters in the firewall policies but they cannot be removed or disabled from my understanding. I am kind of wondering why when I enable sniffing it would fix the issue?

Not the counters, the action.
