Hi, I am willing to use an URL on the connect-to parameter within the pptp-client configuration.
It would look like this:
/interface pptp-client
add connect-to=mypptp-server.com disabled=no name=pptp-out1 password=test user=test
For HA, redundancy purpose, I also want to be able to go to my DNS entry and change the IP address for mypptp-server.com entry. After that, as expected, the router is not changing the tunnel endpoint since is not re-resolving the name. Once I enable the interface pptp-client, the router resolve the name, connect, and it works ok.
But what about the cache entry timeout or the ability of tune that timer?
Any help on this or any other idea to deploy the HA would be much appreciated!
