This is one of those I just cant get the handle on. Have got a router with PPPoE connection to internet. Few computer connecting to internet routing throug the router, running fine. Add a PPTP connection, connected and running fine. How do I get the traffic to use the PPTP link when using the laptop. Have tried it all kind of ways but just cant get any traffic going through it. Works fine if I set up the PPTP on a computer. Looks like it is using PPTP because the counter increase. PPTP and PPPoE is masqueraded.Any help would be appreciated.
you may use policy routing: mark all traffic from the laptop with some routing mark, and then add default route for that mark to your routing table
It is about 10 computers that has to pass through the router. Wanted to nat. Never did try to route source ip. Will try thanks. Died try to route PPTP port and gre through PPPoE and then make PPTP default route. No luck. PPTP connection still drop. Did mark TCP and UDP traffic and route through PPTP but no luck.
Maybe this will help somebody. Actually quite easy, no weird stuff. Give you PPTP server an static route with PPPoE as gateway and let PPTP assign the default gateway. Cool
