PPTP performance

We have a x86 based Mikrotik (Powerrouter732) that we are contemplating using as a VPN aggregator. When using it as a PPTP server with RB450 as the client device VPN throughput is less than desirable. When using Windows based VPN (client is XP, server is 2003) throughput is much greater.


Poor throughput (PPTP No Encryption)

Good Throughput (Microsoft PPTP)

What is poor and what is good?
Is Windows computer technical specification similar to RB450?

7mbps windows vpn vs 300kbps mikrotik vpn

both tests done with btest. I suspect MTU as being the culprit.. but not sure.

Make support output file from RB450G and include short problem description.
