PPTP server jumps back to default profile

Good day,

I appear to have a problem with the PPTP server on 5.20.

When restarting the PPTP connections to the server (over 100) the server tends to drop back to the default profile instead of the selected default-encryption profile. For some reason when I use the default profile my clients cannot access secure sites. When using the default-encryption profile everything works fine.

Is there a way to avoid this?

Thanks

As a temporary workaround, I’d suggest setting default profile exactly the same as default-encryption (that’s definitely not a solution though). You may also try disabling and reenabling PPTP server and other PPP servers if you have enabled them.
And there’s also old school solution which helped me in the past in some problems, to open “File” window, make a backup, then select the backup just made and click “Restore”. It seems the router during restore rebuilds most of its config files from scratch, maybe eliminating some internal garbage that accumulated over time. If that doesn’t help either, you can also try making /export, resetting the router to factory defaults and pasting that export into router’s console (or with /file import).

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try your workaround for now.
