I am new to RouterOS, but I have done extensive research trying to find the solution before posting my question here.
I followed the steps to setup the Mikrotik router as PPTP VPN Server. I was able to successfully connect from my laptop (Windows 7 Pro) using my cell phone’s hotspot. Once connected, I was able to see devices behind the router on the local network). But when I tried to connect to another wifi connection (optimum), the VPN hangs at “verifying username and password”. In the logs, I can see the incoming connection, “TCP Connection established from…”. I tried from another computer (with another wifi connection), and the same thing happened: it hangs at verifying, But, I am still able to connect from my laptop, but only via my cell phone’s hotspot.
What am I doing wrong?
