Hi guys, I’ve been trying to find more information on freeradius setups for PPTP authentication and attributes.
I’m using Freeradius without SQL for the time being. Getting the Mikrotik to authenticate with the Radius server is all I’ve achieved so far, but I can’t find much info about the attributes required to send information back to the Mikrotik or how the mikrotik handles them.
I want to set it up so it can get a PPTP tunnel, gateway and DNS from the Freeradius machine with a queue in place for retrieval.
I am struggling with a similar issue although not freeRADIUS, I’m using TekRADIUS.
I have TekRADIUS set up on a Windows 7 PC connected to the ethernet port of a RB411 and a 2.4GHz radio installed on the Routerboard.
I am trying to get a windows 7 client to connect wirelessly and authenticate to the radius server without certificates or web pages, just a logon prompt.
The support information here is difficult to understand, not very clear, and usually incomplete, the TekRADIUS site the admin usually gives on sentence responses to my page long list of questions, and I’ve got 40 + hours in on this and still no success.
My employer is quite upset about the lack of support or documentation with these products and the amount of time taken just to figure things like this out. Really good luck with your questions!! I’m going to post a similar question but judging from your responses I bet I get a similar response.
