I have a problem introduced by the installation of the RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN. Disconnecting it from the network fixes the crashes.
Topology:
Huawei B593 4G modem/router → RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN
The Huawei has its DHCP server switched off, otherwise acts like a normal 4G modem/router. The Mikrotik device is set up as a bridge, providing wireless, DHCP and being the local DNS forwarder.
There are some IP-based surveillance cameras connected to the network. Their IP addresses are static and do not overlap with the DHCP pool. Without the Mikrotik device anywhere in the network, everything is fine, uptimes are measured in months. Introducing the RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN unleashes chaos. When the cameras are connected to the Huawei Ethernet ports, they crash approximately every minute. When they are connected to Mikrotik, the crashes are not as frequent, happening every 10 minutes or so. All other network devices seem to behave in a normal fashion.
It is quite obvious that the Mikrotik device is sending something to the network that wreaks havoc among the surveillance cameras. Where to look? What to disable?
