Preventing restoring default configuration

Hello,
I just bought a new outdoor router “MikroTik RB911G-5HnD (5GHz)” (with added antena “MIKROTIK EapBoard 23 dBi”) and i did a reset (using the button marked on the router). Since that, I wasnt able to get rid of “default configuration script” window, which appears everytime i reboot router. All the changes i do are applied at the moment but after reboot it’s back to default. I tried using winbox, telnet and also webfig (website configuration).

I tried pressing “Remove configuration” but that didnt helped. I tried also reset-configuration with all the options available.

In addition, I tried reinstalling firmware using netinstall as well as using winbox to reinstall it.

Currently, the router is running RouterOS 6.3.

I have no idea what else to try, reinstalling neither hard-reseting doesnt help.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hi,
you can use RouterOS 6.4

you can use RouterOS 6.4

Hi Asaleh75,

Do you mean that I’m getting that because of a bug in v6.3 and it has been fixed in v6.4? I didn’t find any indication of such fix in the changelog.

And unfortunately I’ve just tried v6.4 and it didn’t help.

Any other idea?

Many thanks!

Sounds like your device is resetting every time it reboots.
I never used the reset holes on a routerboard but is yours probably short-circuited all the time?

Indeed it looks like that. I double-checked both the reset button and the reset hole with a metter and they aren’t short-circuited.

Anyway, I have an implression that this is a configuration issue. I found some posts mentioning the same experience after reset but no working solution proposed.
