Prioritise traffic from a specific device and general perf

UPDATE: I actually have two r52n in each rb600, so 4 x r52n and 8 x AC/SWI, and I am seeing some weird performance:
rb6001 is about 10 metres away from rb6002 I have forced them to 5ghz n-only nstreme for the p2p link
rb6001 is also running another 5g AP
rb6002 is also running another 2.4g AP
So if I am connected with my macbook with wifi using 5g to rb6001 and do an internet speed test (max 24mbps) my music gets interrupted (max 9mbps), basically rb6001 seems to crap itself while the speed test is going on. The weird thing is I might have expected this if the speed test had to traverse the p2p wifi but it doesn’t. I may of course have something misconfigured, my macbook is 3 metres from rb6001 and 13 metres from rb6002).

rb6001 – wlan1 – bridge (wds) – signal -62 – tx / rx 65.0 / 58.5 (5g p2p wifi nstreme)
rb6001 – wlan2 – ap bridge – signal -67 – tx / rx 48.0 / 39.0 (5g AP macbook connected, wpa2)
rb6002 – wlan1 – station wds – signal -62 – tx / rx 65.0 / 58.5 (5g p2p wifi nstreme)
rb6002 – wlan2 – ap bridge – signal -89 – tx / rx 18.0 /13.0 (2.4g AP macbook connected, wpa2)

Hi,

I have the rb600’s on 4.3 software:

nas–firewall–rb6001 - wifi link - rb6002---- upnp network music player
…/…
…/…
…internet…pc

So the rb600’s need to be told to put the traffic to/from the music player in a high priority queue so that it never gets starved when I am copying files to/from the PC (which happens now).

Is this possible, it would be best if i could do it based on ports, interface (the music player has its own interface on the rb6002) or the MAC address of the music player, IP is set by DHCP, how would I be able to prioritise the traffic coming the other way (nas to player)?

So I need to:
prioritise music player to nas traffic (control data)
prioritise nas to music player (music data)

I am looking at the “simple queues” at the moment. Now I am thinking I need to mark the traffic, possibly based on the TCP/UDP ports for upnp.

I am not planning to do any firewalling on the rb600’s, will that be a problem?

Thanks!

Kind Regards
Richard
