Prism 2.5 - mkt loading newer secondary firmware?

I have some cards designed to go with amplifiers I’ve purchased - yes, I know you’re all going to gripe about using amps, but they will work for this application. I’m at a place in the midwest where there is no pollution on the band, servicing a very (very) rural area.

Anyways, these amps come with cards that they are intended to be used with. I’m putting these PCMCIA cards into some PCMCIA to PCI bridges and running Mikrotik 2.9.23 on an Intel motherboard with a Celeron 900Mhz processor.

The issue is that the cards come with v1.3.6 secondary firmware - and work best with that firmware; however Mikrotik is updating the secondary firmware on boot to 1.7.4. How would I go about making sure that Mikrotik does not update the secondary firmware on boot?

It’s rather important, as this hardware is specifically designed to work with that firmware version, so unless there is a very good reason for forcing the firmware update, I’d like to know how to make it not happen.
