I discovered how to connect to MT that are using the prism cards as the AP. If you are using WEP you must set the wep key to the “required” and on the MT client side you must set the prism card wireless security to “optional”. Why it doesn.t work in “required” mode is beyond me. But I thought that I would post this in case there are other ppl that are experincing this same problem. Oh forgot one more important thing you must not hide the SSID. If you do hide the SSID, then the link will be broken on the next reboot or it will never be established.
Hope that helps some one else out there.

So what if you are not using a mt client?
Refer to the wireless documentation,
- Prism card doesn’t report that the use of WEP is required for all data type frames, which means that some clients will not see that access point uses encryption and will not be able to connect to such AP. This is a Prism hardware problem.
- Prism wireless clients do not connect to AP that work with enabled hide-ssid feature.

I do not want to hide the ssid just allow the 35 customers on this tower to connect with the WEP settings they already have programmed. I just replaced tranzeo AP’s with a 2 radio RB. 2 of the Tranzeo’s were damaged.
