I have a model 433 router running RouterOS 5.6.
I am a techie, but not in the world of routers. You can’t imagine how frustrating this is!
I am connecting to my company network using a windows XP VM running on a Mac (before you get started on the mac thing, this also happens on a PC running XP). The VPN client is by Juniper Networks. Every 12 minutes (on the frickin dot!!) my VPN connection resets. I’m getting tired of yelling at the screen.
If I disconnect my Mikrotik router and connect to my piece of junk router I got at best buy I NEVER have this problem. Another Data point: The internet connection seems to be spotty and sometimes we have to renew the dhcp connection on one of our other macs.
I’ve got a bit of money tied into this router, but I’m about to scrap it. I like the fact that I finally have one device that will transmit to the whole house, but the problems I’ve been having are killing me.
