I am new to this board but not to the mikrotik products. I recently purchased (4) Packetflux Sitemanager II units to monitor a few wireless AP and CPE locations I have. While I am able to get my probes working in the dude, I have the following problem. The temperature is displayed in Celcius not F. Also the voltage is displayed at for example 24VDC would show as 241 in the dude. After speaking with packetflux they said that people usually write their own probes to change these values to show the desired output IE: 24.2VDC and temp would be say 80 degrees F. Has anyone used the sitemanager with the dude? if so have you written your own probe? I have very little experience with SNMP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The dude can manipulate values returned by probes. You can perform math in probes for voltage of 241 you could just multiply by .1. If you plan to monitor stuff with the dude it is going to take some effort but it will be worth it. Many of the probe questions you will have are answered in the probe thread but I have not see probes specifically for Packetflux SiteManager II. So don’t hesitate to ask but please search first. With that said you will have to learn at least a little SNMP to be able to write your own probes.
